I ‘see’ Blumenburga and Ethelreda
Blumenburga had always wanted to help women make more of themselves. She also loved colour with a passion. So, she studied my online colour analysis course but was struggling to find clients and close to giving up.
She came to me for help and discovered very quickly that running a business simply wasn’t her ‘style’ (if you’ll pardon the pun).
Blumenburga discovered her superpower was still using her innate love of people and her colour analysis skills – but to help someone else’s customers.
Blumenburga came to understand that her colour and personality combination (Blue Green Romantic Light) was the perfect profile to chat easily with Ethelreda’s gift shop customers and advise them exactly what to buy for themselves, family, and friends.
I have never met Ethelreda. I never even saw a photo of her. But, from Blumenburga’s description – her physicality, what she said, and how she said it – it was obvious to me that Ethelreda was a Green Red Classic Warm Autumn. This profile would not find chatting with customers easy at all. Ethelreda’s superpower was running a successful business – admin, sourcing products, marketing, bookkeeping – all the stuff that Blumenburga hated.
Being allowed to be who she really was, doing what she loved, helping ladies to make more of themselves, without having to do the stuff she hated meant that Blumenburga blossomed. She felt confident enough to offer colour consultations to Ethelreda’s customers and she was soon booked up months in advance.
Ethelreda’s profits began to soar. She realised that it was Blumenburga’s superpower of truly listening to people and making them feel special which brought happy customers back time and again, often with friends in tow.
Being a canny businesswoman, it wasn’t long before Ethelreda offered Blumenburga a partnership in the business – on the understanding that they both devoted themselves to their individual superpowers.
